Role & Responsibilities Platform Ownership: Serve as the technical owner for the Azure platform and Microsoft 365 cloud services, overseeing comprehensive platform health and security compliance. Security & Mitigation: Manage Azure Front Door and WAF configurations protecting public-facing web infrastructure, actively mitigating DDoS and complex web-based threats for millions of annual visitors. Identity Governance: Implement and manage advanced Entra Identity Governance and Access Packages to automate complex lifecycle management. High-Security Solutions: Design, deploy, and secure Windows 11 Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) solutions tailored specifically for highly secure, PROTECTED-level networks. Strategic Advisory: Provide technical subject matter expertise directly to the Enterprise Architecture Steering Committee, converting ambiguous mandates into executable roadmaps. Skills & Experience To be successful in this position, you will ideally bring: Technical Toolkit: Expert-level mastery of Azure Infrastructure (SQL/Cosmos, App Service Environments, Landing Zones) , M365 Suite (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Purview) , Identity & Governance (Entra, PIM, Conditional Access, Zero Trust) , and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, PowerShell). Experience: 10 years of dedicated experience specialising in the architecture, deployment, and management of complex cloud environments, with a record in the Federal Government or critical infrastructure sectors. Core Capabilities: Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to bridge the gap between high-level policy requirements (e.g., Essential Eight frameworks) and technical execution.
